## Differences between Fahrenheit and Celcius

Formula to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit is (°C * 1.8) + 32 = °F

Formula to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is (°F – 32) / 1.8 = °C

In order to convert, you only need to plug in the temperature for Celcius or Fahrenheit to get the result. Thankfully, there is also an even easier method to convert as long as you are familiar with daily temperatures that are normally seen.

## Taking the C to F shortcut towards conversion

Having the need to make a conversion between Celcius and Fahrenheit can also be a quick task if you have another formula. This formula involves having the Celcius temperature multiplied by 2. Next, you have 30 added for the approximate Fahrenheit degree. This measurement is handy to have as it is also considered to be precise for measuring temperature.

A good instance of this is if a temperature is 20 degrees C, then the Fahrenheit equivalent would be 70 F. The formula is as follows:

(20 * 2) + 30

(40) + 30

= 70 °F

To be even more accurate, the exact temperature will be 69 degrees F.

You should also know that the temperature will never be a precise degree due to the constant fluctuation that are made throughout the day.

For Fahrenheit to Celcius, you would measure in a reverse manner by having 30 subtracted from Fahrenheit degrees, and dividing it by 2. This will give you the Celcius temperature.

A good example of this formula is seen this way:

(85 – 30) / 2

55 / 2

= 27.5 °C

Although the temperature would actually be 27.5 degrees Celcius, it is normally read as just 27 degrees Celcius.
